About our Camps
We set out to offer every child the opportunity to thrive in a friendly sporting environment.
We know how difficult it can be to find something interesting and worthwhile for our kids during the School holidays
We do offer day only participation in our camps but recommend that you opt to take part for the whole week. This is because we can’t achieve what we want to achieve in a day. Getting to know your child is a very important part of this process
It is probably fair to say that children can find that going to a Camp can be a very daunting experience. Most children settle very quickly, some can take longer but few fail to become enthused by the whole experience given the chance to do so.
Age Ranges
Our camps are open to anyone who is in Primary 1 to S4 or year 1 to year 11.
At our summer camps Children who are going into Primary 1(Year 1) will be considered for morning half day placements. We would want you to consider if your child is able to cope with being at a camp without having had the experience of going to School.
The core activities of the camp are aimed at Under 12s. For older children we will look for them to become Camp helpers and Coaching assistants. This is an opportunity to learn leadership skills and take on responsibility in a secure environment.
The Coaching Team
We select our team on the basis that they are qualified coaches who have experience of working with children in a sporting environment. We look for energetic and enthusiastic individuals who are also responsible and mature.
We take references and all are Disclosure checked
Each Camp has a Leader who is contactable by Parents on a mobile phone.
Leadership Volunteer Scheme
We will offer opportunities for other young adults to get involved in our camps as volunteers. These will usually be young people looking for experience to support what they are doing in education or through initiatives such as the Duke of Edinburgh Awards Scheme.
Sports Covered
Sports will vary from venue to venue but are aimed at all levels of ability. Our aim is to ensure that everyone enjoys themselves. Typically we will include;
Football, Hockey, Netball, Badminton, Touch Rugby, Basketball, Athletics, Aerobic Fitness, Tennis, Table Tennis, Multi Sports and Playground Games.
Typical Weekly Itinerary
Everyone is placed in a team when they arrive at the Camp, they will be part of their team for the week. Our teams are usually named after Countries and the competition between them forms a backbone to activities throughout the week.
Teams can win and loose Points throughout the week from; team competition, individual effort and homework. Children will be asked to carry out tasks at home such as researching facts about their Country or carrying out household tasks.
There will also be theme days such as; odd sock day, inside out day, national Flag Day. You may get some unusual requests but hopefully you will understand that’s its all about getting the Points for your team and Country.
The week culminates on Friday with one Country emerging victorious. Awards will be made for the winning team and there will also be some spot prizes awarded by the Coaches for something that has caught their eye over the week.

Food & Water
Children who are staying for the full day will be expected to bring a healthy packed lunch with them. What they eat will be scrutinised with a view to applauding healthy eating. Usually points will be awarded for a healthy lunch.
Water will be provided for each child and we will have some snacks for break time. Children can bring their own snacks and drinks although we do insist on no fizzy drinks.
Kit & Clothing
All children will need to wear training shoes to take part
-
They need to wear clothes they can play sport in such as shorts/skorts & t-shirts.
-
They will need a jumper or sweat shirt to keep out the cold and a water proof would be useful even in summer.
-
Please make sure that all clothes are labelled.
-
Each week we give our children a t-shirt and draw bag. Wearing the t-shirt will play a part of being in the camp.
-
There is sometimes an organised water fight on the last day so a dry top and towel will be needed.
